WHERE ARE YOU GETTING YOUR INFORMATION FROM?

Diet gurus, even some with impressive degrees behind their names,  who tout how wonderful a high-protein, fat-laden diet can be for people wanting to lose weight, seem to be everywhere.  These gurus grab the attention of millions of desperate dieters because they let you believe you can eat all kinds of beef, chicken, seafood, cheese, bacon, etc., and lose all kinds of weight.  This type of information is what most people "want" to hear....eat all that "good food" and still lose weight.  However, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Meat, eggs, poultry and dairy products have all been directly linked to obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breast, colon and prostate cancer, gallbladder disease, kidney failure, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, constipation, diverticulosis, hiatal hernias, etc.  You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that the risk of becoming sick increases when you are eating these foods.  A high-protein diet is made up of the foods that most nutrition experts tell us contribute dramatically to our most common causes of death and disability....all the saturated fat and cholesterol packaged in these foods is nothing but a recipe for disaster.

It's time to admit that the reason these diets continue to thrive is that they give you permission to eat all the foods you know to be unhealthy.  A diet centered around beef, pork, lamb, eggs, bacon, shrimp, lobster and dairy foods has been linked to just about every degenerative disease known to man, including obesity.

There is a natural way to achieve your ideal weight and to keep it under control without compromising your health.  As a matter of fact, eating a truly healthy diet will prevent diseases from even starting!  Just take a look around....look at cultures that maintain their weight without any effort or any "diet".  For example, the traditional Japanese diet is abundant in rice and vegetables--as a result they have a very low incidence of heart disease, breast, colon and prostate cancer and the world's greatest longevity.  But, as soon as these same people adopt our eating habits with lots of animal protein, they too become fat and sick.

So, what's the BEST diet?  Almost every expert agrees that, to stay healthy, we should eat a diet that is low in saturated fat and avoids trans fat, which means cutting out meat, poultry, dairy, sugar, hydrogenated fats and processed foods.  A healthy diet is rich in vegetables, fruits, beans, whole-grains, nuts and seeds.  This is what I call a Whole Food Plant Based diet.

When you are feeding your body what it requires to maintain excellent health--vegetables, fruits, beans and whole-grains--and get rid of the foods that cause us to become sick and fat--animal products, dairy and processed foods--not only will you have excellent health, but you will get to your ideal weight without counting a calorie, carb, or fat!  The weight will just come off!!  The reason this happens is because the foods that give you health are not calorie-laden, fat-laden, or sugar-laden foods....A whole food plant based diet has loads of nutritional value with very little calories.  You can eat until your satisfied and not have to worry about calories consumed.  The quality of calories in these types food are superior to those that you can get in a bucket of chicken parts that come packaged with saturated fat, cholesterol, antibiotics that were pumped into that chicken as well as a host of other chemicals.  (Remember, chicken is covered with e-coli due to how it is handled at processing plants...but this is another story).

It really is simple--if you want to have excellent health, lose weight for good and have lots of energy, you have to give up animal foods, dairy, junk and sugar.  Period.  Stop with all the excuses WHY you can't do this.

Anyone that wants to do this CAN do this....it may take a little time, but so what...as long as your heading in the right direction, it will only get better.

Don't know where to start?  Contact me....I would be happy to get you started down the road to much better health.....
