The way to optimal health is a Whole Food Plant Based Diet. As science has repeatedly proven time and time again, we all can have the healthy body we dream of!
Let's face it, there is a pill out there for whatever ails us--Big Pharma makes sure of that! However, pills do not "cure" anything, (antibiotics used for bacterial infections are an exception to this), blood pressure medication does not "cure" our high blood pressure, cholesterol medication does not "cure" our cholesterol problem--pills mask the symptoms. We need to get to the root of the problem and correct it! This can be achieved with a Whole Food Plant Based diet as we have been shown time and time again. This is the ONLY way of eating that has been scientifically PROVEN to reverse heart disease--REVERSE HEART DISEASE!!! Because this "diet" has been scientifically proven to work, Medicare is covering Dr. Ornish's program in California--other insurance companies are also jumping on board--imagine the money insurance companies will save getting people off drugs and preventing procedures and surgeries!!
Eating this way should not be about the foods that we "can't eat", but we should be focusing on all the FOODS WE CAN EAT!! When people eat this way, there are no counting anything....calories, carbs, fats, etc., etc., etc. Eat from the Four Food Groups:
#1 Vegetables
#2 Fruits
#3 Whole Grains
#4 Legumes (beans, peas, lentils)
Eat until you are satisfied, eat the foods you like, push the foods off your plate that are making you feel sick and tired, and pile your plate with foods from these four groups. It's easier to do than you may think.....there are so many recipes out there to try. This is a different way of eating...I get that....most of us were raised on meat, (being the center of the plate), potatoes and vegetables. Now, the potatoes and vegetables are going to be the main attraction!

Once you realize how delicious this way of eating is, you will go back for more....you start eating this way more frequently, you start FEELING GOOD, and the WEIGHT comes off! Weight is not the only "side effect" from eating this way, many people also have to reduce/eliminate medications they are taking, namely blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes medications. WHAT????? Stop medications simply by EATING FOOD??
