IT'S NEVER TO LATE TO CHANGE.....

People make the comment to me all the time that they would rather eat what they want and be happy, than live to be 100 years old.  I smile because so many people feel this way but don't realize what eating a Whole Food Plant -Based diet is really all about.  In my opinion, it's not about living to be 100, it's about having really good health without all the chronic illnesses, diseases, and ailments so many Americans have from eating the typical standard American diet, (SAD).   If anyone watched the Dr. Oz show this week, he talked about how the American population is literally addicted to fat, sugar and salt.  The more we eat, the more we crave...the food industries love this cycle...it keeps them very rich.

You cannot buy your health, you must earn it through healthy living.  Physicians, chiropractors, homeopaths, naturopaths, and other health providers cannot make you healthy.  You can receive symptomatic relief from your condition, but treatments don't make you healthy.  Most people put their "health" in the hands of their physicians and comply with their recommendations--recommendations that are typically taking prescription drugs for the rest of their lives.  People are completely unaware that most illnesses are self-induced and can be reversed with AGGRESSIVE nutritional changes.  This is wonderful news!!  Chronic illnesses are not a part of the normal aging process.  Unfortunately many people believe that health problems are hereditary and we must swallow pills to "fix" them.  Never forget, 99% of your genes are programmed to  keep you healthy.  The problem is, we never let them do their job.

Based on all the research that has been done, almost all the major illnesses that plague Americans are reversible with aggressive nutritional changes that will undo the damage caused by years of eating poorly.  The so-called diet that most Americans eat causes the diseases that most Americans get. However, these conditions can be effectively prevented and or reversed with SUPERIOR NUTRITION.

When I say "superior nutrition" and "aggressive nutritional changes", I mean radically changing the way people eat.  It doesn't mean eating meat and poultry 4 days a week instead of 7, (although that's a start), it means finding foods to substitute the meat and poultry with  and eventually eliminating it.  The same applies to dairy products...the less you have in your diet the more healthier you will become.  By aggressively changing the way you eat, eliminating meats and dairy and eating loads of vegetables, fruits, beans, legumes, and a modest amount of nuts and seeds, your health will change dramatically.  What many people don't understand is, as Dr. T. Colin Campbell says, "Moderation Kills".  Many people love to say, "Everything in Moderation"....that is so far from the truth when we are talking about OPTIMAL HEALTH.

So, the message today is, eat as much of a Whole-Food Plant Based diet as you can....again that means food that comes straight from nature.....doesn't have nutritional labels on it....and eat a wide variety.  The more colors you get on your plate means more vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, (ammunition against toxins), your body receives, the more your health with improve daily.  This is my promise to you....

When I'm in my 80's, don't be surprised when I am still running races.....I'll meet you at the finish line!
