CHANGE THE FOOD YOU EAT...CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Did you know the Diet Industry is a multi-billion dollar industry?  There are more people "on a diet" in America than ever before, and we are sicker, fatter, and poorer for it.  I read an article yesterday stating the diet industry is a Big Fat Money Pit.  That statement is so true.

We now have an epidemic of obese people in this country....70% of Americans are overweight and 40% of Americans are considered obese.  Not to mention, 70% of applicants applying for military service are denied because they are overweight, have pre-diabetes, and just cannot pass the physical tests to meet the military's criteria...70%!!!    Here lies the cause of so many diseases and chronic illnesses.  

We cannot look to our policy makers to make any changes in the food industry....they support one another with funding (it's all about the dollar).  But, we really shouldn't be "looking" for anyone to make changes regarding the food we put in our body....we need to take responsibility for our health... not some policy maker in Washington.  On the flip side of that coin, I do believe the FDA and USDA have the responsibility of keeping our food supply safe from toxins and poisons, but, that's not the case.  Our food supply is loaded with all kinds of toxins; the people in charge are fully aware.

As a nation, we are on a downhill slide....for every Medicare dollar that is available, $1 out of every $3 is spent on diabetes.  We have gone from 1 in 10 kids from having diabetes to 1 in 4.  We are raising kids to live sicker and die younger.  So much of our food supply is artificial and processed with loads of sugar, fat and salt....all three of these ingredients are extremely ADDICTIVE...as a matter of fact, artificial sugar has been proven to be more addictive than cocaine!  Think about that the next time you reach for that diet soda.....Not to mention the harm aspartame does to your body...but that discussion is for another day.

Food has the power to change your biology....FOOD....not pills, food.  When we get to the root of the cause and cut it off, the problem is solved.....it really is that simple.  All this processed and artificial food, "lite", "no-fat", "low-fat", "diet", etc., is not REAL FOOD....if nature did not grow it, if "things" have been stripped from the original product or ingredients are added to the product, it's not REAL FOOD. Did you know if you left a square of margine sitting out on your counter for a month, at the end of the month it wouldn't have changed composition?  It would not have mold on it, there would be no insects on it....nothing would have changed.  Can you imagine what that does in your body?

The answer to this whole mess we are in, and we are in a BIG MESS, is to eat real food...vegetables, fruits, beans, whole-grains, nuts and seeds....eat a huge variety....and watch your health soar....it really and truly is as simple as that.  Foods that come without "nutrition"  and ingredient labels on them are the absolute BEST foods you can put in your body.  Spend 99% of your time in the produce section of your grocery store and fill your cart with life-saving foods.  Spend your money on real food that will not only make the numbers on the scale drop, but most importantly, GIVE YOU YOUR HEALTH BACK.

Our bodies are so over-loaded with toxic chemicals from the air we breathe, to the water we drink, and the food we put in our mouth, we need powerful ammunition to "fight off" this toxic overload.....give your body REAL NUTRITION and it will fight for you beyond your comprehension.


Don't know how to incorporate vegetables and beans into meals?   There are numerous websites out there with loads of really good recipes....straightupfood.com, ChefAJ'sKitchen.com, VegKitchen.com....just to name a few.  There are so many really quick and easy recipes using nothing but REAL FOOD....And as always, if you need my help, please let me know....I would love to help you!
