Each and every one of us has this power---the power to change our health. How? By the food we choose to eat. It doesn't matter what health issue you may have, you can CHANGE it.
By getting rid of the foods that are causing the problems--meat, poultry, dairy and eggs, and eating all kinds of vegetables, fruits, beans, and whole grains, you can REVERSE any damage that may have been done in your body. Vegetables and fruits contain phytochemicals, these are substances found only in plants that act as the plant's protection, but when we eat the vegetable or fruit, we are getting those same phytochemicals that researchers have found protect us. The powerful antioxidants and phytochemicals found in the plant kingdom CANNOT be duplicated by a pill. Believe, me the pharmaceutical companies have tried, and they are still trying. However, you just CANNOT get the same benefit from a pill as you can get from the "whole food"....all the different substances work together in the food to give our body what it needs. Science cannot duplicate that process....it would be impossible because one vegetable has thousands of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals combined.

Because the meat and dairy industries are SO POWERFUL, and because they spend approximately 30-60 million dollars a year on marketing, we are all being misinformed--that's putting it mildly. From the time we begin elementary school, we are being taught how important meat and dairy is...how we must drink milk and eat meat everyday....how we should not only be drinking milk constantly, but eating yogurt and all kinds of dairy products to give us strong bones. NOTHING is farther from the truth. All the dairy this country consumes has brought our country's osteoporosis rates sky high. Countries that don't have access to dairy products have practically non-existent osteoporosis rates.
Osteoporosis is only one issue caused by dairy. There are all kinds of studies done showing the main protein in dairy, called casein, feeds cancer cells. You can actually "turn" cancer cells on by eating a diet that includes dairy products. By eliminating dairy from your diet, the research has proven you can "turn" off the food supply to these cancer cells, and the cancer cells shrink up and die. So, like a switch, dairy can turn on cancer cells, or you can turn the cancer cells off. This is AMAZING to me.
