Our health-care system, (really it's a disease-care system), is not "equipped" in treating chronic diseases. The infrastructure, which is the traininig of physicians and other health professionals, is geared toward curing a contagious illness that derives from a single cause, such as bacterial pneumonia, or healing an acute injury such as a broken bone. Unfortunately, the chronic illnesses that are our reality today will NEVER be CURED with a pill or a procedure.
High blood pressure--take a pill; type 2 diabetes--take a pill; high cholesterol--take a pill; heart disease--take a couple pills; arthritis--take a pill.....pharmaceutical companies couldn't be happier to make a pill for whatever "ill" you may have. However, these pills will NEVER CURE your problem--these pills will mask the symptoms. Period. If you don't find the reason for your high blood pressure, it will NEVER be cured. The pill is managing the symptoms of the disease, not "eliminating" the disease. The same holds true with any chronic disease we have. Once the pill is stopped, the symptoms return. Again, this is a disease-care system, not a health-care system. Many people profit from sick people--healthy people do not require pills, procedures, hospital visits, and multiple doctor visits.
There is a much better, cheaper, and healthier way to PREVENT, STOP AND REVERSE chronic disease--it's by the food on the end of your fork! It really does sound much too simplistic, but as science repeatedly proves to us, chronic disease can be ELIMINATED with food. That means ANYONE wishing to change their health has the POWER to do so.
